Citizens for Free Speech is launching a new social media platform designed exclusively for local activists who want to make a difference in their local communities. Having made it through the development stage and the Alpha test cycle, LocalActivist.org is now looking for volunteers to serve as Beta testers. The Beta test cycle will last up to 30 days and will prepare the site for general public release in September 2018.
Some facts about LocalActivist.org: If you have used Facebook, you will have virtually no learning curve. It is unique in that it will allow the immediate location of other local Members, Groups and Events. Important local events will be 'crowd sourced' by interested local Members. There are rules of conduct, but no centralized or programmatic censorship. It is owned, operated, and supported by Citizens for Free Speech, but is free for you to use. Because the web version has limited functionality on mobile devices, a mobile app is in the works for Android and IOS.
You are ready to be a Beta tester if:
- You are already engaged as a local activist.
- You are a member or leader of an existing group of local activists. (Invite them all to join you!)
- You fed up with censorship on Facebook, Twitter, Google, etc.
- You are willing to help us create the ultimate social network for local activists.
Responsibilities of a Beta tester: During the test period, our expectation is that you will make friends with other members, join or create Groups, join or create Events, send direct messages, post content on your wall, and invite other friends to join your Groups or Events. When you discover bugs or other problems, you will note your findings on a streamlined Feedback form.
As a result of your feedback during the Beta test cycle, we may add or remove features or make procedural changes.
If this looks good to you, then let us know below.
