The First Amendment is very clear:

“Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.”

Barton Thorne wanted his students to be aware of the prospect of losing their right to speak and be heard in the era of “cancel culture”, and his high school immediately illustrated his point—by canceling him.

The Great American Mask Rip Off (GAMRO)

GAMRO is a peaceful demonstration of CFFS members exercising their First Amendment rights by displaying motivational and educational signs on busy streets in their communities. Demonstration size is purposely small, with 12-18 people comprising a "squad" for each geographic location. The ideal shift time will be 2 hours of daylight, preferably in the afternoon and well before dusk. No nighttime activities should be scheduled. 

Any CFFS Volunteer can decide to be a Squad Leader. A Leader will be responsible for soliciting and guiding the Squad members into action. These responsibilities will primarily include, 

1. Recruiting, screening and communicating with volunteers who will fill the Squad
2. Securing and managing collateral such as signs and literature
3. Posting Meetup information on the CFFS site where Squad members can RSVP for a given demonstration date
4. Providing training and orientation for Squad members prior to a street event
5. Providing situational awareness during the event to protect the event and members of the Squad.

GAMRO events will stick to public sidewalks, staying off of private property, while facing street traffic as people drive by. The message we display will be directed exclusively to passers-by.

Since the object of the Great American Mask Rip Off is to encourage un-masking, Squad members should not wear masks. 

We do not wish to dispute with any business that serves the public, and will not enter any business premises for the purpose of protest. We do not wish to engage with law enforcement, nor otherwise draw attention to ourselves.

GAMRO events are not suitable for open carry of firearms. If a Squad member shows up while openly carrying a firearm (legal in most states, of course) and refuses stow the firearm out of sight, then the event should be immediately cancelled and disbanded. Legally allowed or permitted concealed carry is not a problem. The Squad Leader must be sure to advise all Squad members of our policies in advance of every event. Again, our mission is to reduce fear through education and motivation.

Sign graphics suitable for large-format sighs will be made available at no charge for all GAMRO events. Local Squad Leaders can download desired images and transmit to a local sign maker for production. Graphics are designed for a 24"x30" foam board and are very light weight to carry for two hours per event.

Mesa, AZ – Unconstitutional requirements for consumers to wear face masks in privately-owned businesses that serve the public may be a thing of the past in Tennessee, if state legislators approve a newly introduced bill in the state house. Citizens for Free Speech (CFFS), a nationwide non-profit organization dedicated to preserving the First Amendment, hailed the legislation as being an enormous step toward restoring the constitutional rights of citizens in all states.

There is a very dark religion at the base of both Technocracy and Transhumanism. That is Scientism. Once understood, the massive censorship at the hands of Big Tech starts to make perfect sense.

Mesa, AZ – After several congressional hearings over discriminatory censorship practices in social media produced little to no meaningful changes, Governor Ron DeSantis has made Florida the first state to propose real accountability for Big Tech’s politically-driven suppression of speech. Patrick Wood, Executive Director and founder of Citizens for Free Speech (CFFS) and a staunch critic of Silicon Valley’s ongoing assault on the First Amendment rights of millions of American Citizens, cheered the aggressive move by the Florida governor.

“There ought to be a law!” Why, that would fix our problems, wouldn’t it? We wouldn’t have to lift a finger. Let somebody else do it. That’s what we pay them for, isn’t it?

Unfortunately, this deceptive thinking allows us to escape any personal responsibility for doing anything about the things we don’t like, and this is wrong.

Mesa, AZ – Parler, the popular social media application preferred by conservative-minded users, has been taken offline by Big Tech in the most blatant assault yet on freedom of speech in America. The CEO’s of Apple and Google announced on January 8 that the Parler app would be removed from their online app stores unless Parler moderators agreed to adopt censorship standards consistent with those of the two largest social media companies, Facebook and Twitter.

America’s foundational rights are set out in the First Amendment. Without the freedoms expressed in that amendment, there is nothing to protect us from totalitarianism. Yet we are currently in the midst of a very sustained attack on the right, and the attack is coming via methods too many fail to recognize.

Mesa, AZ – The views of conservative Christians in the United States should be silenced, according to a fringe group of agnostic and atheistic Democrat activists who have attracted the support of numerous elected congressional Democrats. The Secular Democrats of America PAC has publicly targeted Catholics and evangelical protestants for censorship, and has sent a 28-page document to the Biden-Harris transition team demanding their First Amendment rights be revoked.
