Cities, towns, and other governing entities host Public Visioning Meetings to gather input from citizens on upcoming local or regional planning, zoning, or policy changes. While these visioning meetings (sometimes also referred to as workshops, labs, or charrettes) are often required by law to facilitate public deliberation and transparency, a false sense of consensus can easily result if citizens are not alert to methods that manipulate their input and participation. In this training, CFFS National Training Director Mary Baker will show you how you and your team of engaged citizens can successfully navigate the public visioning process.
